Radio button question

To start with I dont have a radio owners manual. When I press the audio button in the top right it causes the furthest preset window to the right to toggle between SC MODE and FLAT. What I'm trying to figure out is, is there modes other than FLAT? Like Concert, Jazz, etc. The only thing I can change is the bass and treble. Its a 2001 X5. It has the business cd player above it. Non Nav.

Thanks,

Do you have DSP?

You need DSP to do what you want to do.

Ditto upallnight...the DSP (digital sound processing) option is what gives you the "user defined" (aka "user selectable") EQ (MEM 1, 2, & 3)+ the preset JAZZ CLUB/CATHEDRAL (CHURCH)/CONCERT HALL options.

Note that the explanation of DSP Sound System in the owners manual audio booklet is followed by an asterisk *...which means it's an option and every model may not have it:
