Putting the question out there. I'll be pulling my trans for its second rebuild and im curious about putting in the newer version.
I'm aware of many obstacles that's why I'm looking for the guy that did it. The zf 5hp24 has to go. Thanks

Good day!!

I honestly don't think it will work... You are dealing with two different version of motors... And the computer controls for each transmission are night and day different...

The M62TU is the 4.6is and the N62 is the 4.8is... NOW, if you wanted to put the whole drive line in, including the computers and wiring, that might be something to stay tuned for...

I don't think the 6HP25 will be any more reliable than the 5HP24... if anything, I've heard that the 6HP25 is more troublesome.
