Climate Control Console Interchange`
 

Anyone know if the climate control console is interchangeable with any BMW series auto from 2001-2004? Thinking: 325, 5 series, X series etc. Mine went dead an can't find blow fuses. Old X, so used part is best now. Thanks

Go to any of the sites above, enter your vehicle info then look up the IHKA (auto climate control panel) to find the IHKA control modules that were used and are compatible for your build date range...then click on the BMW 11 digit part nbr (or copy and paste it into the part nbr search feature) and the database will list ALL other BMWs that use the same part.

It can be helpful in that you'll get a list of current and older part nbrs that may have ended but are compatible...which can extend your list of viable options...and not end up with something that "looks" like it should work but doesn't due to software or other slight changes during the production run.

Thanks for the updated information. Turns out it was the 7.5 amp fuse, only BMW. Anyway, the buttons seem to work ok, but it doesn't work when I try to use the button to increase the fan speed, only decrease. I have to use the MAX button to raise the fan speed. SO, at some point I 'll try to find another climate control panel.
