Amplifier Connections?

Need someone's help. I cannot get sound from my radio. Knob doesn't work. Steering column control don't work. I replaced the amp with another amp, and that doesn't work. There is one small connection on the end of the amp (circular connector) that doesn't have anything attached to it. Should it? I did a VIN lookup and this is what the car came with for audio options:

S640A Preparation f tel.installation universal
S645A BMW US Radio
S650A CD player
S661A Radio BMW Business (C43)
S677A HiFi System Professional DSP
S692A Preparation, BMW 6-CD changer I-bus

So you're just getting no sound? Do you have the stock radio/deck in?

You replaced the amp, have you checked any of the fuses for the amp/radio?
Perhaps the controller portion (in the dash) isn't working.

Also use electrical connection cleaner on the amp plugs.

What "amp" did you replace? The whole unit in the dash? Or the DSP unit?
If it's the DSP you replaced, it's probably the C43 that's broken.

Sorry, I'm a BMW newb. What is the "C43"? Checked all fuses, both in the glovebox and in right rear trunk.

Head unit is stock. Replaced amplifier in the the left rear trunk wall. It does have a thin black cable attached to it, which may have gone to another device which was taken out before me? Could that be the problem?

If it's the head unit, then not a problem, I'm buying a Android 9". https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...9739005ed3.jpg

OK, that's the DSP unit. It's basically just a very good amp, with heaps of options and a nightmare to replace. The thin black cable is digital audio cable that goes to a 6-disc CD changer. I'm guessing (hoping) you don't have the big screen in the dash. If not, the in-dash bit is the C43 in your case. It controls the actual audio and volume etc., the DSP amp just boosts it/adds effects/subs etc (digital signal processor) AFAIK.
The C43 should be fairly easy to find.
Have a look at realoem.com (enter your VIN) and check the part number for the in dash stereo. Then look on ebay for that part number.

Black cable is a Coaxial cable that is attached to the 6 CD changer, or in my case attached to my Grom unit.

Or you can be creative. The previous owner of my X5 had the gps antenna plugged into cd changer and the cd changer cable plugged into nav.

I guess where there is a will there is a way....

Yeah, sorry, I should've put S/PDIF.
