Drive failure

I was accelerating while making a turn. Suddenly had to slam on my brakes to avoid hitting someone. As soon as I stopped, it felt like someone had rear-ended me. Then had no drive or reverse. Also, the vehicle still rolls while in park. Looking for ideas on how to narrow down what could possibly be wrong with it.

You need a new transmission.

The rolling part plus the other symptoms you broke a cv axle.

Get underneath her, check the driveshaft couplers, all mounts, cvs, etc.

It may be a guibo but the highlighted part is classic cv axle failure recipe.

Had similar thing happen 2 weeks ago, front axle popped out of diff. No drive of any kind. Fairly simple fix.
