hard code, #6 injector short to ground
 

when i pulled them from intake, i put a nylon chord around the injectors with a triple wrap, then looped over a prybar with fulcrom. then sprayed lubricant ,WD40 on them before i pulled out. i must have cracked one. i am now not getting missfires, just 6 injector and engine failsafe. $125 ea for new. anyone have any used ones.

I would swap with another to confirm the problem migrates. (especially if you think you can do it without damaging the next one). There is a good chance of a wiring fault so first eliminate bad connector being the problem. At least if injector intermittent it would explain why always going to safe mode. Most of those other problems won't. (vacuum leak etc)

still agree, swap the injector with another known good one, Double check your wiring harness to the injector, make sure there isn't any damage on the wire insulation. (rodents love this stuff)

Get new injectors seals or else you will be chasing vacuum leaks. They are not that expensive.

Good advice glad to see that in black n white before it applies to me.
