Hey there...
I got the THULE "snowcat" holds 4 snowboards or a ton of skis. Was around a couple hundred i think. Bolts to roof rails without any adapters. Worked great this week in Tahoe.... |
I have the Snowcat as well. It was $175.00. It can hold 4 boards and 2 skis. The clearance is a problem though but you can wrap the boards bindings with a towel or something and you shouldn't have a problem. Or have the bindings removed. This is the cheapest option.

I have the snowcat also and I agree that it was the cheapest solution. It's a dedicated snowboard and/or ski rack only. It works fine for me. $161 at Amazon.

Here's something to consider if you already have the BMW OEM cross members - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ski-S...spagenameZWDVW

Has anyone used the Thule for a kiteboard?
|
I didnt have a problem with binding clearance, just cant use the sunroof VENT feature when a board is facing down. With my bindings folded up they didnt touch at all.......b
|
i got the bmw oem cross members and then the bmw oem board attachments such as the ones up above depending on if you use a board and what that board size is it might get tricky
|
I got the Thule 450 Crossroads clip with Thule cross bars. Black on black looks better. I can then mount a variety of attachments to the cross bars including many types of ski racks, luggage boxes, etc.

Thule Snowcat!! I got mine off of www.rackattack.com for around $155
