Anyone replace struts & shocks?
 

Just curious, has anyone replaced struts and shocks in a X5?

Since the I am going to add camber plates, I will have to remove the struts to get to it. If I am going to do it, then I figure I should replace the struts while I'm there.

I checked with Crevier parts and they state that BMW doesn't sell the strut inserts alone, but I can buy the whole strut assembly.....Does that sound right?

The rear shocks are no problem, but the front struts are different story.

Of course, I'll have to buy new strut bearings as well.

Has anyone done this yet?

Given that I have 128K miles, it is due to replace the struts/shocks I believe.

Depending on what x5 you have, try going with 4,8is struts and springs up front, only if you have air suspension in the back. You should lower the front about 33mm
