CD player doesn't eject
Hi all,
My CD player has stopped working in regard to the eject function. Has anyone ever taken the thing apart to trouble shoot this problem(or anything else) and can tell me the internal workings of the units?? Is there like a belt in there or something that drives the eject function? Thanks for any input/info. Steve |
Good day!
I have a few times... There is a small motor that drives the workings of the player... and another two smaller motors that control the disc speed and laser "eye" position... You may get lucky if you pull power from the unit so it will do a complete movement recycle on all the motors upon reapply of 12V... If you want to just open it up and make sure there isn't a buck fifty in change deposited when you weren't looking, there are maybe three to five small screws holding the covers on... Let me know if you need more assistance!! Good luck!!! Cheers!! |
Who listen to CD's these days?

I just replaced the CD/Cassette combo headunit in the soccer mom minivan with an Android headunit. Bluetooth streaming of internet radio and Spotify, and jump drive music on the USB input.
Only my G35 has a cd/cassette combo unit in it because the face plate for a double din radio is over 200 bucks for a JDM trim. The Porsche has an old MD player and the Lotus still have cassette radios. |
