Sources for OEM Fire Extinguisher?
 

I'm looking for the BMW OEM Fire Extinguisher that mounts under the drivers seat for out cars. They are hard to come by and prices are hitting upwards up $300 on fleaBay. Does anyone know of alternative sources for finding these? Luckily I had bought one for the E46 back in 2004 and still have it in that car but I want to add one to the X.

Can't really help with a source, but I had to use an extinguisher recently to put out an engine fire. Do you know if the BMW extinguishers are dry chemical or a clean agent? Hopefully they're a clean agent type.

I keep a 2.5lb Halon 1211 extinguisher in each car. Dry chemical makes a monumental mess when discharged - so much of a mess that I probably wouldn't want the vehicle back if I ever had to use one.

It does look like the correct one and I had sent EMI a request to purchase a few days ago when I started my search but he can not ship to the USA. :dunno:
