1 day to paint in matchig colour ( 345 siver-titenium)
25-60 mintutes to install
I would say - it is not very bad it's acceptable ( espacially if someone backing up...bull is kind of phichological preventive "sound" )
It is deffinetelly need some cosmetic support of cover bolts nicelly, but I will configure something and will post it.
Any good ideas wellcome!

Wow... that is a hefty piece of equipment! Nice job.

Maybe a short run of black shrink tubing to cover where the bar bolts to the frame?

Think you might add lights later?

Perhaps just some black plastic caps to cover the bolts - held on w/silicone adhesive? Home Depot may have something like that...

Yes it is possible....-to add extra haloden lamps ( I painted holders for that ..too - same colour ) ..but did not decide yet to put them on b/nose...I try to accept this pease myself ( I did it today ) ...And yes bolts definetelly should be covered with some plastic matirial ( dark tone )...Please ideas are wellcome!

I agree with the bolt idea. Paint might be another option for you, but I don't know how long it would hold up.

It's funny that you post this because just this past weekend I saw an X5 (red) with a body colored bull bar. It's a nice touch, and different from the everyday chrome or black.

or paint with liquid rubber

drex 02-02-2006 07:17 PM

who makes that bar?

But painting part is up to you !

p.s. Paint with liquid rubber is a winner to my mind. It is rain in SF I need sunshine and hot days to clean and paint after .

That looks mean!!! Nice job. I like how you took pictures of the fantastic packing job the company did as well.
I used Black Rust-Oleum paint on the bolts on mine. Holding up well so far. The shiney chrome bolts certainly need to be covered for looks.
