Wiper buffetting

Up until my most recent wiper blade change, I had just been purchasing refills for the oem wiper arms. The original driver side arm has an 'aero blade', which I wanted to keep on the car. Well since my auto parts store stopped carrying refills I went ahead and just bought the replacement blades and arms. Good grief, now I know why that aeroblade is there. At highway speeds, with the wipers on now my driver side wiper buffets violently against the glass on the downstroke, resulting in this horribly loud 'fwapping' sound. I guess I'm going to have to pull the wiper blade off of the new assembly and put it on the old OEM arm. Was curious if anyone else experienced the same issue.

I swapped to the Bosch Aero wiper blades much much better than oem ones

Try going outside and the E53 not being there. THAT takes some getting used to.

Good news is she loves the E53. Bad news is I still don't know if I even like the E70 :(

I'm trying though.

Are they modding them up over on the E70 sub forum?

Not that I can tell. I have spent the last hour or so trying to find where the passenger airbag is located to answer a question for a person on there.

I STILL haven't found where the thing is and I have looked at I don't know how many pics of people removing the dash from e70's.

That sucker is hid good.

Valeo Ultimate blades work well as well. ECS may have rubber inserts for the OEM blades, recently purchased a couple of sets for my e39s.

I've used at least a dozen brands and models of blades.

My last replacement set was the Trico onyx they had a buy two get one free deal so I was able to get one for the back (use 17" vs the OEM 18" or it will hit the brake light).

Anyhow they have the wing built in and have no external moving parts to pack with snow and ice so work great in winter.

I've never used blades that were so resilient to chatter and if they last I'll never switch to another model.

I got a lower priced model for back of wife's car and wouldn't you know it frickin' chatters!

Why the problem? We have the wife's E53 and the husband's E53. Same year/engine.

Crowz gave up his E53 to his wife because she didn't like the new E70 he bought her. He now rolls in an E70... :stickpoke

Oh and since she is happy X5 wise she now wants a Z4 too. So hunting one of those now....

I made the mistake of having a picture of a zagato on my screen when she walked in the room.
