Urgent help needed.

Hi guys. Can anyone help. Got the trans failsafe profram warning on dash. Fault diagnostic coming up with gearbox clutch pack problem. Any idea how much this will cost to fix?

Thanks

Wayne

- You can change trans fluid first.

- But I think this is an expensive fix (new trans).

Check your battery voltage real time while driving. Make sure it stays solid around 13.5. a few low voltage dips can get you a trans fail safe it happened to me when my alternator nut was loose. Oddly the trans went failsafe but I didn't get the abs trifecta.

I found a reset procedure online involving some magic combination of key, brake handle.

People say it doesn't work but it worked for me. It could have just been a coincidence but cycling the engine off and on a few times didn't do it, I did the procedure and trans failsafe went out and I drove to the store and picked up an 8mm nut to actually attach my alternator power cable.

Let's go from basics.
Why not check first for physical damage to wiring underneath next to oil pan and I've also seen wiring loom crumble due to heat from exhaust system.
