Badly Need Help w/ HID!!

hi guys,
just wondering if anyone has found a fuse board in the engine bay. thre's got to be one i there! i'm still having probs w/ my hid kit and i think its not getting enough oomph to start it up, so my next plan is to wire it up to a relay system with power coming straight from the battery. what do you guys think:confused: ?

Facing the car, it is behind the compartment divider and under the plastic cover. Pretty much inline with the steering wheel.

your HID should be wired off a relay. even our angel eyes are wired off a separate relay.

all HID kits keep a connection.. use the + battery terminal in your engine compartment.

thanks for your help. i connected 2 relays (one in each light) and i've still got a problem
i can turn the hid's on without any problem with the engine turn off.
roughly 4 seconds after i started the car, the relays started humming which forces the hid transformer to shut down.
after an hour of fault finding, i found out that the main beam voltage drops to around 8-9 V when it is connected to the relay (coil end). this happens even tho everything else is disconnected apart from signal wires to the coil.
disconnected the wires and the voltage goes back to 12-13V. arrgh!!!

i've quadriple doople checked everything and i'm stuck:(. did anyone have this frustrating experience? any advice would be nice (my brain has shut down:rofl: )

you need to tap into the main switch or the input from the switch at the LCM inside the car.

that should trigger the relays.

check out the bmw wiring diagrams under tech ref
