The link shows possible digital DVB or ATSC conversion process for the standard definition tv tuner on the E53.

I don't have a tv tuner yet, but the digital tuner board looks pretty promising.

It looks like you can install the digital board into your old tuner box and gain digital TV functionality, along with USB video file playback ability.
