Pop & Bang engine map?

Friends

Is there a ‘Pop & Bang’ Engine Tuning Map for a 4.8is (e53) that is available in the UK please?

This trend is gaining a lot of steam very quickly.

Don't do it.

I knew this was a thing on the F30 chassis... and some other manufacturer FI based engines. I wasn't aware people on other NA BMW platforms were trying to accomplish this.

It's popular in the E46 world now that there is access to modify your maps at home. I think they just turn off fuel over run. It sounds awful

Not my cup of tea.

I don't like it...lots of jap cars here in Oz that are into this "popcorn" mod.

Depending on the tune/tuner, it can be a “burble” or straight gunshot pop. Duration is also customizable. My N55 with Mission Performance tune will “burble for about 1-1.5 seconds and I love it. The “sounds like a drive-by is taking place” is a little much and brings up flashbacks from my neighborhood as a kid. :eeps:

i wouldnt mind the sublte burble...
