INPA DXC8 IFH-0009
Not sure how much hair I have left to pull out over this...
I installed a new DSC Control Module, and it seemed to code fine. I've read it's normal to get some sensor calibration errors, namely the steering angle sensor. However, INPA refuses to connect to it. I'm not sure if/what scripts I'm missing or if there's a better way. In INPA, I go to Chassis and select DXC8. It takes a little longer to load and ends up stating: Group file: D_ABSKWP IFH-0009: No response from control unit It connects to and reads Air bag errors and it seems just about everything else just fine. The one ECU I need to talk to (DXC8) seems like it doesn't want to respond. I followed this guide to try to redo my INPA installation, with overall successful results: DIY: How to setup BMW Standard Tools 2.12 w/Windows 7 x86 (32-bit) But still I can't connect to DXC8 to calibrate the steering angle sensor and remove the error. Any ideas or tips are always appreciated! |
Have you tried this procedure:
Switch on the ignition and start the engine. Turn the steering wheel full left, then full right. Do this a couple of times. |
Thank you for the response!
Ok I just tried it and the one error that persists (after clearing errors) is: 97 Lenkwinkelabgleich notwendig "97 steering angle adjustment necessary" |
I was never able to calibrate steering angle sensor with INPA.
But then successfully with DIS, so please try that instead. Search google for "bmw dis steering angle sensor calibration". |

Whenever I have a code that is related to the work I did I always check my work and the part I replaced to see if it is functioning properly. There are no coincidences when DIYing. |
I had the IFH-0009 error on INPA with all modules except the DME. As I researched on other forums I found most users saying there was a fault with the cable and most just ordered another cable. Before doing that, check if the switch on your cable is pushed to the end. I found that mine wasn't and pushing it to the end solved the problem and I could now access all the other modules!
