LED tail lights

Ok, I know this has been hashed through to some degree in the past. But it's a new day, there are different competitors on the market. My trunk lights are faded dead, so I'm ready to replace, would prefer a neat stock colors led tail setup. I purchased one of the more inexpensive options with substantial discontentment, will be returning. So there's those- maybe i just got a fluke?, other options and what people have had good luck doing.

The ones I bought were like these, the ledge between the rows of lights are all chipped up:

This is mostly what I'm considering now:

which I think are the same as these, but maybe slightly different color or picture

But I think this may be my favorite style: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Tail-Lights...UAAOSwyz5amfpy
but it's the most expensive and only sold from distant countries that may make returns complicated- and I already learned from this first experience a return is a thing I may very well need. I think DEPO makes these, part number 444-1929fx

If I get frustrated enough with life, I may consider these: https://www.ebay.com/itm/00-06-BMW-E...wAAOSwbwJaArCO

Thoughts and experiences appreciated!

I've not seen any plug-in LED swap I liked. The best solutions are the full replacement solutions are the best bet

I think that way about many BMW models. But more or less, with the exception of the last lights I posted, I like something about each iteration of those LED interpretations of the stockies. I guess it's just taste, everyone is a little different.

So on taste,
The first ones, the ones i bought, are a nice idea. If they could get their poop together and not chip up the insides. The trunk lights are less forgivable, the lower trunk lamp has this weird design next to it with five dots.

The spyder led tails have that wide clear strip on the trunklights and too pronounced of a weatherstrip line. Otherwise they're pretty nice too.

The DEPOs are the nicest. I think the trunk lights are DEPO's factory replacement parts. On the DEPO website, these are listed as 'not in North America' so I fear they may lack the necessary DOT credential I think lights may need. Which makes the substantial cost an even bigger challenge. To me, they look reasonably like what a factory LED replacement should be.

The fourth ones have the wildest weatherstrip line along the edges. They're also trying to look like a e87 or e90 or something. Too much

The best way to detemine is find a YouTube video review or such. From the still photo I like the same ones the best.

I would not worry too much about the DOT i have not in America mirrors because they are better in every possible way just that lawmakers in the USA (and 3 of over 200 countries) think it's more important to see 20% as much stuff in a mirror at the correct distance than see 5x as much with zero blind spot.

As long as they aren't too bright in run mode to confuse with brake mode you have little to worry about.

I was thinking about just this. I wouldn't be able to really test it until i received it. With international shipping at my expense as the only recourse for return, it's a bit concerning. I havent been able to find any videos of anyone with these. Was hoping someone here would have them.

Email the company they should've taken video when testing the product.
