My personal preference is for taller but necessarily wider tires, and I was looking for 17x8 steels with that wacky BMW bolt pattern. I forget now, is it 5x120?
There was a guy on here a few years back that PMed me he had made his own spacers, but I didn't get him to elaborate. |
Chevrolet's 5 x 5.75" works out to 5x120.7mm
As long as one has accurate hubcentric rings there will be no issues. |

This was my inspiration because mines silver haha. He's also local to me, wish I knew who he was or how to get ahold of him. |

that pic you posted, i saw his vehicle for sale on craigslist (1-2 years ago?). i think his trans blew and he ended up selling / parting it out right after he did those mods. I believe he had the FMU kit |
Most of those are the FMU truck, which is great. Salvaged a front end wreck and turned it into glory. Helps to have a great welder. I love that snorkel, as impractical as it is.

I found a set of these (with tires) for $100
http://i1048.photobucket.com/albums/...psvucuwdqr.jpg is 7.5" wide enough to fit some 265s? I'm guessing they are since those are the tires on that X5.. just wondering if they make that same style in larger than 7.5' |
I'm absolutely, madly, in love with that matte beige and black accent (which also says White) on it color scheme. just sensational.
I've ALWAYS loved a lifted and big knobby tires e53. just love them. I wish to do it for the amount of snow that we can get here in Calgary, at times, so I asked one of the guys who lives in my city who did it to his black x5 (pic up above with the downtown office scene in background) and he appreciated it fr winter. No doubt. I may have to pull the trigger one day but I worry it will cause wayyyy too much stress on the axels and splines. |
