DIY Requested: Oil Filter Housing and Lines Removal
I found source of an old leak apparently and explains a bunch of grunge build up on powersteering box.
I have a 4.6is and looking for a DIY to replace the O rings for the lower connection to engine. I searched even googled and nothing. I figured the procedure is simple to replace the O rings but looks like very tight spot to get to lower connections which are below the DS cam cover. Anyone performed this fix with engine in and if so how. Thanks in advance. |

Wondering how did you gain access to the o-ring? It is very tight spot indeed...

I'm probably looking at doing this at some point perhaps this weekend as I've got alot of oil in that area and patches are left every evening. I would imagine it may help to remove the whole oil filter housing assembly and maybe come in from the top.
