Alarm, Door Locks, Windows, Interior lights not working

Today I decided to undo the previous owners installation of the Bluetooth mic located at the top of the A pillar because it didn't sound good there. I also had the hood open so I could check the oil when I was through with the mic. As I was putting I back together I had the key in my pocket and was pressing against the door sill when the alarm went off! I managed to get the key out and crank the engine and it went off after about 20-30 seconds. I went about finishing up installing the A-pillar cover, and lower dash pieces. Went for a test ride and noticed I had no power windows, auto door locks (console door lock button not functioning too), & interior lights. When I shut the engine off the alarm goes off for about 20 seconds too. I've disassembled the lower dash again to see if I knocked any wiring loose and found nothing. Any ideas?

You may have messed up the key button that sets off the alarm. Make sure each key button works properly.

Check all the fuses related to the central locking and gm. You likely shorted something and blew a fuse

None of the key buttons are functioning. I checked some of the fuses while I test drive it. Will check all the fuses and see if any codes are stored tomorrow.
Thanks

Checked all the fuses I thought might be related and found all to be good. To add to this I discovered the diagnostic port is dead too and the windshield wipers don't work either.

Sounds like a main fuse. There are a handful in the trunk look for a wiring diagram.

Fuse 14 (5 amp) seems to be the common link (pardon the pun) with your problems. Its is fed by Fuse 200, but if that was blown I think you'd have even more problems.

Now there's something you don't often see - the B+ cable running from F200 to X13020 is labelled as "25.0 RT".

That 25mm sq. folks - a full sq. inch of copper!!!

And red, btw. ;)

Neil, Good call! That was the culprit. I could have sworn I checked both fuses 13 & 14 last night. All that is left now is to get the remote buttons locking & unlocking again. I wasn't successful with that tonight but will try again in the morning.

Thanks a bunch!

John

You will have to reprogram the remote. Find YouTube video. The main trick is that the doors have to be either locked or unlocked before you start and I never remember which.

Remote was successfully re-programmed yesterday! All seems to be working....for now!

Thanks for all the help with this one!
