Car Acting Weird After Removing Negative Terminal

hello Fellas,

I needed to replace the oil pan. i disconnected the negative terminal because i have a two wheel air suspension and didn't want the suspension moving to compensate for when i jack up the front of the car. anyway after a couple of hours and when i was finished, and connected the negative terminal, the car WON'T START and was asking for a code.

i research online and disconnected the positive for 5 mins, and connected it again, put the car in position 1 for 10 mins and started the car. and now the is reading in celsius.

my question is, should i not have disconnected the negative terminal? :dunno:

The asking for a code is an anti theft measure works through the MID interface. Google you should be able to find. I think default code is 0000 but that's a very foggy memory.

You do not have to disconnect power regarding the air suspension. The computer understands what jacked up off the ground is and disables the air suspension when the wheels are floating. Also when the key is off so unless you run the car before lowering to the ground you for future reference don't need to worry about the air suspension regarding power.

Push odometer button with key on and turn key to off to switch between F and C.
