Coolant level low... (Not really)
A couple of months back I replaced the expansion tank, water pump, thermostat and a few more items, and about a week ago, I started to get, the low coolant level warning.
It comes up randomly for a few seconds and goes away, and obviously, the level it's fine. Is thera a sensor somewhere that I can replace? Or what could be triggering the warning? |
Sensor is in the bottom of the expansion tank. Only if you have high cluster that is hooked up. You are saying you get the low coolant alert but the float in the reservoir is floating?

Yes the float pups up when I remove the cap,
Is this the one you're talking about? http://a.co/d/dfRlV4M If so, it's new too. |
No that's the transmission cooler thermostat. Comes with the reservoir.
At the very bottom of the reservoir there is a connection for the level sensor. If that connection is loose and wiggles off and on you get a spurious low coolant alert. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |
Ahhh Ok I get what you're saying, I'll check that connector and report back !!
Thanks !! |
