I'm not a big fan of 6-spoke rims myself, but those look cool.

pseto 02-05-2006 03:42 PM

those are very slick, what brand and specs?

LeMansX5 02-05-2006 03:46 PM

I like it! Looks Hot!

AlpineMsix 02-05-2006 04:07 PM

it seems like, if there was a way to add rivets to the rims they would stand out much more. But hot anywayz :)

breytonX5 02-05-2006 04:28 PM

Great looking 6-spoke wheels! Yes specs on the wheels please.

jpm4.8is 02-05-2006 04:32 PM

:iagree: ....whether fake or real rivets.

asawadude 02-05-2006 04:52 PM

I like them, Greg. Nice clean looking wheel.

gregwx5 02-05-2006 04:56 PM

Ok guys so here's the scoop..as I am a full time college student studying engineering and part time employee I resorted to ebay for these wheels. They are RVM wheels, 20x8.5 with 275/45/R20...yes I know i should have the 275/40/r20 but wanted the little extra pot hole protection.

I was also not a big fan of 6 spoke wheels, i was actually going to get the style 87 replicas..but i just really liked how the black and machined aluminum would match the TiAg and the black trim and iI like how these 6 spokes aren't all that closed up and you could see the (painted) caliper.

Ohh ya and some nice shiny rivets would be cool...i'll have to think of something!!

Greg, what tires are you running?

YankeeBimmer 02-05-2006 05:35 PM

Excellent tires for the $$! (nice rear 4.6 bumper cover)

fln8tive 02-05-2006 06:47 PM

Would some shaved BMW-logo tire valve caps be an idea?--just a thought...you'd need strong adhesive.

bingw325 02-05-2006 10:50 PM

Nice !!!

ricky.agrawal 02-06-2006 01:26 AM

You are kidding!I was just about to comment on this!In fact I really had to look twice to realize that IT ISNT the 4.6/4.8 rear spoiler! It almost fooled me!Well,I didnt have my glasses!

asawadude 02-06-2006 09:28 AM

Greg, any spacers required?

NOC 02-06-2006 09:35 AM

Nice wheels, they look good on the TiAg.
I know what it is like driving through Boston, w/ potholes and big-dig I tend to avoid driving there when I get the chance. See you arround...:D

No I didn't need any spacers, but I think I will get some to bring the back out a little. And yes my 4.6/4.8 body kit is fake...it is just painted....I took the risk of being a fraud...but I think it does the trick LOL

X5 looks great.

What about speedo/odometer readings? Increasing the diameter is going to throw them off... plug in the numbers: http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html
