Passenger electric problem
 

I have a 02 e53 3.0d, and my passenger door window won't work from drivers side button but works with passenger's bottom.
The central locking also doesn't lock or open passenger door.
Any ideas people? Any help at all will help start my diagnosis.

It sounds like there might be a connection problem at the passenger door switch/module or cable leading to it.

Good place to start is to check the connector in the door hinge area - these are known to occasionally have corrosion issues.

Make sure you disconnect the battery before goofing with door connectors or you will need to reset SRS (airbag) errors...

I recently fixed a corroded solder joint on the driver door switch. I would not be surprised if the same. It's easy to take out and open up to look. If there is green corrosion it's almost certainly the problem.

Hello Nickid. IF you get a solution, let me know. I just posted the same question. pologize to the forum should have searched first before posting, but this question has come up since 2009, and i've yet to see a solution for this SPECIFIC problem.
Mine worked fine until I replaced door lock mechanism. I tried the old one whose lock did work, now it does not either. The good clue is that the window switch only works at the door itself which cries to a more central issue. also note that the pass door lock will work manually.

Ok drRick I will get an answer up as soon as I find the issue. I have a lot of mental and physical issues these days, so I can only work on my car on a good day.
