VR included with New Alternators?

Wanted to ask, do new alternators include the voltage regulator, specifically from fcpeuro? I would think they do but figured I’d have the forum chime in...

Buy either Bosch vs Valeo (interchangeable but check what is in your car first).

Also, buy NEW, do not but "Rebuilt" alternator.

No, in many cases a quality rebuilt unit is better than a crappy new one.

I was gonna buy new as I was afraid the rebuilt units weren’t worth the savings... so what’s the consensus, a rebuilt unit or unlimited alternators from fcp :rofl: ? Thanks guys.

The last "rebuilt in germany" Bosch I bought was actually more expensive than the new "made in China" Bosch.

Don't touch rebuilt. Rebuilt is so bad that I don't even care for it.
During rebuilt, all they do is putting a new Chinese VR, the bearings are not replaced etc. They fail all the time.

The good Bosch is made either in the UK (factory) or Mexico.
The Valeo is French-made.

OP, you need to post: year/model/engine/mileage when asking for help.
I don't even know what engine you have.

Or you could find a starter, generator, alternator rebuild shop if you live in a metropolitan area. Had my alternator to my PORSCHE SC rebuilt at a shop instead of buying new or rebuilt.
