Does a disconnected servotronic throw a fault code?

Cars with servotronic steering option I know there is a connector that connects to the power steering pump.

If were to be disconnected would it throw a fault code when you scan but not a warning in the cluster? But still function normally?

Just trying to troubleshooting something.

I keep getting telegram speed fault code for my AHL headlights but I see them work with no problems. I can see them swivel with the steering wheel but every time I scan my car and clear it comes up again after a while.

Non engine performance (think smog/emissions) won't trip the SES light. (At least I'm not aware of any that will).

yea no SES but I meant BMW specific fault codes

Oh right if you have high cluster then possibly. No idiot lights for such to show on the dash. I think I've gotten abs light from a steering angle sensor hiccup once that cleared itself. That's the possibility. If the system you are asking about is tapped into the abs it'll likely disable abs and right away so you can test it as long as your scanner can reset abs codes low risk trying. If unplugged you should get an internal code of course but maybe it'll not interfere with anything
