Any tip to remove the lower control arm?

I had to replace the CV axle, and decided to replace the sway bars and arms since the bushings were almost gone.

But For the left side lower control arm, there's almost no room to take the bolt out, I guess I need to remove the plastic part in front of it?

Do you guys have any tips, or suggestions?

Thanks !!

I can't remember totally but I know I didn't have to remove the plastic. (I was thinking to the same thing as you). I think I loosened it (tried to remove it and couldn't) and flexed it out of the way enough to get the bolt our far enough to pull the arm.

On the right side, I think I can take it out, just flexing the part next to the bolt, but on the left seems too close.

I will sure try, but I'm hoping someone has a tip.

I did mine back in April and it was a little tight but I did not need to remove anything, just loosened a few things.

If you have a 3.0 engine, that plastic thing is part of the air duct for the alternator. There should be enough give in the plastic for you to push that bolt out.

On my 3.0D I had to remove the duct on the left side to get enough room to pull the bolt out...

The duct work is just snapped in place so it shouldn't be that much work if you need to remove it. It may have some of those plastic rivets.

Thank you all.
I guess there are different models, in mine you definitely need to push the duct out of the way, there's no room for even a wrench, much less to remove the bolt, but there's two 10mm bolts and one snap rivet that needs to be removed, after that you can move the duct, I'll post some pictures tomorrow.
