Aftermarket stereo and DSP. No sound problem.
 

Hi to everyone! I’m new here. Own 2005 4.8is DINAN. Trying to install this radio https://www.seicane.com/android-car-...wifi-sia-s6902 and meet no sound problem. Car has DSP and factory NAV. I know that I’m not alone with this problem and there where topics like my, but there is to much information to search. If somebody point me where to go or better what to do I would be very happy. I’ve read topic here on Xoutpost about this radio ( more than 100 pages :) but still didn’t find what to do. I’ve visit couple local car stereo shops and they told me that this radio will not work with DSP and I have to rewire everything and bypass DSP which I don’t won’t to do. So all you guys are my last station! If no I’ll have to sell radio and forget about it because to rewire and bypass everything is to expensive. So I hope somebody will help me. There are a couple of ways to go about it. I know one of our members bcredliner fought with his Seicane unit for several months but finally got some professional help and they solved it for him. He may jump in here and share his installation notes.

Another is going with a DSP compatible unit like the Avin Avant-3. A little more money but DSP compatible. I will be installing mine in a few weeks and mine is DSP, non-navigation.

That covers what wire to hook up to force it on. But the easiest way was coding the car to not having a dsp amp best I remember. This caused it to turn on and stay on. If it is set to having a dsp in the coding it will turn the amp off after powering it on when it cant communicate with the headunit you removed by installing the Seicane. That is probably the correct fix for this.

Thank you Crowz. I was following your steps, ordered everything you discribe but soon as I meet the problem and read till 101 page of that topic and didn’t find the decision I decided to ask here. I think I found the way with coding, print the steps and found the guy who can do coding, give it to him, hi change it while I was in trunk hoocking wires but the result was 0. The only thing is that the guy was look like he don’t knows what he is doing :dunno: maybe I found bad specialist or give him wrong direction

Want there something in the trailer ibus USB interface that keeps the dsp amps on? If so, seems that would be the cheapest and easiest solution for these android units.

I think that is a paid add-on that allows you to control the DSP audio functions via the iBus app - I don't think it fixes a non-functioning DSP system (once an aftermarket unit is installed). But I could be wrong... :dunno:

^ Gotcha. Hopefully someone with it chimes in. I know there are a few here running the interface and/or app. Stupid phone mangled that last post. Want = wasn't and Trailer = reisler. You sussed it out Wayne, but just clarifying for anyone not familiar with the interface. :thumbup:

It seems you need to purchase the app license, and a DSP license (ah what a world we live in) in order to add DSP function to an android radio in addition to the iBus hardware from Resler. :rolleyes:
