Light Customizations

So, I have been thinking about putting different light accessories on my 2005 E53, and I want to clarify to make sure this will work. My current idea is a sequential turn signal strips for the front (since to my knowledge you can't open the rear lights easily). So heres the link to the product that says "Does not fit your 2005 X5" but it's literally an led strip... So any advice that you guys can give me would be helpful. product

The front turn signal is also used as a run/ corner marker light using pwm. You would need to have some circuity that makes the LED strip run when 12v but not 6v (or whatever the run voltage is)

I tried to use led replacement for turn signal couldnt do it because of this.

Weird. My LED front signals work, but without a switchback function. Which is fine by me as it would "fight" with my LED halo rings. :dunno: I'm not even using a resistor up front.

I had no problem with turn signal working. The cormer run light no longer worked when I put LED in the fronts.

I didn't see yours working in "run" mode.

Oh, I get you. Mine do indeed work in "run" mode though. As parking lights. Not sure why they work due to the PWM stuff... but they do, should have included that in the video.

What model of led are you using? I'd have kept my front LED if the work as parking lights.

I used these:

I've used many of these SiriusLED bulbs now in different vehicles. Very impressed with them. Now, when I am looking for an LED bulb, if they have it I order it from them.

So with all of this being said, would I be able to run those strips? If I need other equipment for the wiring what would it be? Thanks

Would depend on how you want them to operate. If you want them to be turn signals... then yes. Power them off the side marker (small fender lights) circuits.
