Help finding part number
1 Attachment(s)
Okay so before you all say go to realoem and search. I have already done so and still can't find it. I know this is stupid little part but I want it for my tow hitch. I am looking for the hitch cap embroidered with 'BMW'
RealOEM.com - Online BMW Parts Catalog #1 is no longer listed I checked eBay and couldn't find anything either :dunno: I may stop by the dealership to just see if they have one |

May I recommend something to protect your bumper instead....https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...c0140d3aa6.jpg

I wasn’t able to find any that said BMW, just “Genuine BMW” ones that were blank.
So I ordered generic blank ones on eBay for $3 each instead. |
I'll keep the NY Giants one I have at this point then

That one shows the "BMW" embossing but also carries the same part number from ECS. I think a call to the dealership to verify would be in order before purchasing. |
Called the stealership. One in stock, he went to the backroom and confirmed.
It's just the smooth cover, no 'BMW' logo :( - search continues |
Not sure the desire meets the cost but maybe this is what you're after?

That's what I am looking for, but what?? $80
The regular cover is $8 |
That's what I said but I searched the number BMW (51-19-0-142-154) and it seems they are all $80.

Someone should make a complete cover using the oval cutout in the bumper. I would think they would look good. GM did it for their full size SUV lineup.

On my hitch (towbar as we call it here) the removable tongue pulls down, not out to the rear, leaving the original cut out completely clear, allowing the OEM bumper cover to clip right back in. Even the electrical connector sits back far enough for this... https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/07...g?v=1524692794 https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/~OEAA...7K/s-l1600.jpg |
All our class 3 hitches over here are solid and poke out several inches leaving the factory oval cover useless. I have never seen the one you are talking about, got any pics?

https://www.realoem.com//bmw/images/diag_1izi.png Sorry for the poor pictures - very sunny day! http://i64.tinypic.com/1fwxdy.jpg http://i64.tinypic.com/nwh6d1.jpg The fine SS tracer wire is a pin retainer, although I cannot see it ever falling out. There is also a 10mm hex-head bold that holds the tongue (to stop it rattling - it carries no load). It comes with a faux-leather bag to carry the ball/tongue in when off the car, although I have the cover plate in the bag as I leave the ball/tongue in place as parking-lot protection! |
Wow, I have never seen that model. I always thought the class 3 we have here is the only option. I like that one but none of our accessories like bike racks that take the 2" receiver will work

C-is-F,
I'm checking locally and in Dubai. I'll let you know what happens. Sent from my SM-A730F using Tapatalk |

Looks like any 2" cover will work.
Did a little Amazon digging and found a few for you. Some are just "Perfect" :) My personal favorite is the Mickey version.... |

Thanks Wayne. I never knew that existed.
All my searches show this for an E70. I can't find one for the E53 :dunno: |
