The dash should show which door is ajar if it's a door switch to help get you to a door causing the problem.

Until you figure it out you can disable the cabin lights by holding the cabin light switch for 3 seconds to put the cabin lights into repair mode.

Nothing in the door latch will respond in a favorable way to resolve your problem with WD-40.

When you open doors shuts it show you each correct open door?

Look at my awr-fix: door actuator to see the internals of the actuator.

The sensor for lock and latch positions are magnetic.

Maybe on a low cluster - but not on the high cluster - no car icon.

the spray seems to have done it in the thread it warns to respray with a silicon lube to displace the wd 40 that's only to get rid of the muck and displace the water

andrewwynn 03-21-2019 11:04 AM

That's crazy the high cluster doesn't say which door is open?

The only thing I can think of that spray would help with is the electrical connection. I would definitely take out the actuator and clean it properly.

If you live in a cold climate, treat it for ice resistance at the same time.

The switches are hermetically sealed magnetic switches. I'm not sure if the door open switches are in the latches or where they are.

So it's a problem in the latch mechanism?

I was replacing the 3 doors handle carriers and had to disconnect the latches. Now I've placed them back together and am getting a message of open door, and I have no clue which one it is, or what's wrong.

Maybe the cables from the handle carrier to the latch are too tight and the latch thinks it's open or smth.

Scanner such as foxwell nt510 or nt710 will show which latch is showing open.
