License plate bulb error due to backup camera install
Hey all!
For whatever reason, when I installed a backup camera into one of my license plate light locations on my E46, I never got an error thrown about the bulb. (as one would expect) The E53 though DOES and its driving my wife insane. I am sure a resistor or something would do it, but that is the limit of my electrical knowledge. Are there any suggestions, examples, or DIY that would help me out here? Thanks! |
Code out voltage monitoring and cold check for the license plate lights. No resistor needed. You would need Carly, NCSexpert, or some other coding method.
Or, you could use the resistor but they get hot so keep them away from wiring and plastic. |

Yep, Carly is what I used to code mine for LEDs everywhere but the brake lights.

I used pa soft to code out voltage checking.
