Looks like the blocks are the same. Differences appear to be crank throw, rod length and bore diameter at the core of things - does also note different intake , etc but specifically says stock blocks are the same b25, b30 & b32. (If I read that right)

So basically if I have a 3.0 with a pulled head holt or two and I’d rather use another block than timesert it it’s an ok swap but the pistons and crank will need to be moved over?

My guess is that you could use the crank and pistons and just swap the heads, kind of like using 302 heads on a 289 or a 400 crank in a 350.

Using the 25 heads on the 30 block would likely negate the larger displacement but should work just fine. Being your 25 heads just won’t flow like the 30 heads and intake did.

Noting that the 30 does use a different intake you would need to swap the head and intake off your 25.

Thanks.I have a 3.0 that I am doing a head gasket on. I have a feeling the timeserts might fail and I’ll end up replacing the block.

Plan B, planning.

Thanks.

I like plan b’s for sure [emoji106]

I’m about to dive in to valve stem seals on my 05 4.4i.... wish I had a plan b.... though I think I’ll be fine once I get started.

Good luck!
