if you mean the coil springs, I believe they are E53 only. If you mean the air springs, there is some overlap with the 5 series of the same era, E39 etc etc.

Air suspension is not always a money pit. I have had zero problems with the air suspension over 118,000 miles.

Same experience for me (rear air suspension), proactive replacment of rear air springs before leaks and failure - Arnott One rear height sensor (CarlySoft eliminates the guesswork to know WHY the light was on) - bought genuine and no problems.

I have never replaced a single component, also rear air suspension only.
