Anyone know how to change the Secondary Air Pump

My is shot - whirs up nice for first 30 seconds when my car is started, no big deal, but I don't want it to totally fail and generate errors. I checked my Bentley manual and it gives no support on how to actually replace the thing. I don't see how it is done from the engine bay. Do you need to take the right wheel off and wheel well to access? Please help. Thanks.

I am sure someone has to know how this part is swapped out with a working one!

What makes you think yours is bad? If your not already getting codes (I assume your not because you wrote you didn’t want it to fail & generate errors) it’s probably ok. It’s supposed to run for 30 seconds (about) at start up. That’s it’s self test. Did you google instructions?

Sounds like yours is working. It's an expensive part. Easy to replace.

My understanding is that it comes on for 30 seconds when the car is cold/cool. This is not a test, but rather how it is supposed to function. I know mine is bad because it sounds like a rocket is about to blast off from under the hood. These details were previously established here on the forum.

Easy to change, please tell me how I get the unit unmounted. thanks

If memory serves you'll be the first to change one. Take plenty of pictures, do a good write-up and post it for the information of all who may need to go that route in future.

As I recall the hardest part was getting removing/installing the fasteners that hold it down. Can't give you a blow by blow as I have Dinan airbox.
