water leak SOLVED

Passenger side (UK) floor mat getting water on it via wet glove box.

What could be the cause?

water leak

Usually a clogged drain from the roof window.

PS. Also called the LEFT side of the car.

If it was the sunroof, what path would the water take to get down into the glove box?

Normally it would travel down the A pillar and straight down towards the kick panel in the front of the door card and then onto the carpet? This is into the glove box which is nowhere near the A pillar.

Valid point normally that will end on the floor without the glove box but depending on a few things like angle of list/roll, that said definitely try to determine if the windshield seal is compromised.

When everything has had some hot dry days to be bone dry use some blue shop towels (they turn dark when wet) to place at suspected points of entry and hose the car.

Start low then work up to the roof. Giving some minutes for water to seep in. ..

I would remove the a pillar cover while doing the test.

I have the same problem. Where does the drain ultimately end up?
On the e30 collection we have, the drains end up in the seam at the rocker panels and sometimes floor jacks bend the openings shut.
Is the solution to run a piece of .030 MIG welding wire through or compressed air or???

So i fixed the leak. The rubber pipe came off of the sunroof drain above the headliner so i glued it back on to prevent it coming off again in future :)
