This numbers are my dream.

I have just basic bluetooth obd2 for my phone and actually looking for something better.
I'm trying to find out if cable with programming capability would be worth for me.
Would like to set up rings like a dlr if possible and other things.

I want to take a look on disa as well.

Disa will usually give you codes when it fails. Were you getting decent mpg and it dropped?

So when I was buying X5 I was expecting fuel economy about the same.

Obviously there is something wrong with the car. I have to state that the car is running 22" wheels which is not the best for economy but that is not gonna be the problem.

condition of the car:
NO CHECK ENGINE
Oil changed
spark plugs changed
brakes completely changed (no drag at all)
alignment done
tire pressure OK
no gas leak

the only things I see could be problem are:
1) 4x4 light on (trying to localize problem and fix it. most likely steering sensor) appreciate advices

2) MAF sensor recently cleaned with no positive result (could be faulty and needs to be replaced but no check engine)

Any help appreciate. I'm desperate a read every article saw every video. I own the car about 3 months I Love the car like no car before but this is gonna kill me :dunno:

Sounds like the same mileage I get with my 3.0. I started tracking avg. mph at every fill up. I track my mileage with fuelly. I put the data over the last year into a spread sheet and graphed it. Mileage tracks pretty consistently with avg. mph. Lower mph = lower mileage. More stop and go. These trucks are very heavy and starting up from a dead stop takes a lot of fuel. They're not the most aerodynamic vehicles either. I've seen 18 to 19 mpg straight freeway driving. Of course, I drive about 80 mph. I've recently had to do a lot of driving in the hills. That dropped my mileage as well.

Oh thanks for info at least I know it's not disa. I'm going to buy new MAF tomorrow and if it's not going to change anything I really don't know what I'm going to do. I won't sell it it's my love :wow:

BTW. I have never had decent mpg with this car. Has been like that since I bought it.

Just be thankful you live in a location with (relatively) cheap fuel. While it's dropped back a bit here lately, we have recently been paying close to NZ$10 a gallon.... and there's other countries with even higher petrol costs!

I wouldn't purchase anything until I scanned for error codes and do some basic troubleshooting such as checking for vacuum leak, air restriction or bad plugs for instance.

I get 16-17 average with City driving and I'm a lead foot. I get 23 on great days and 19 on crappy days on highway.

+1 on @bc. Definitely dig through codes and read real-time fuel trim.

I'm from Europe so trust me I know how it's feel to have expensive gas. I would never buy car like this back there. It's not about complaining that heavy suv doesn't have mpg as a Civic I just want to have mpg as REGULAR X5.

Car has new plugs, no error codes, checked hoses for cracks between maf and engine.

I should check for vacuum leaks
