Even in northern climate. It's practically Canada here. It cracks me up since positive is assumed if no negative sign.

Maybe it's a centigrade thing since much of winter hovers near zero but in °F zero is quite a different beast still and I suppose especially in F it's funny to see the +. I don't think my previous car showed a plus just added - sign short for "fuck that's cold".

thats very weird. are you absolutely sure yours is an IS?

i have never heard of a true IS, 4.6 or 4.8, not having the E39 M5 cluster with warm up temp LED's in the Tachometer, and the oil temp gauge in place of the MPG one. definitely not a Euro or NA model.

Yes. Mine is a verified 4.8iS European spec and as far as we've found the only one in 2005 in Alpine White (custom ordered color) that's the outside air temp in the shade 10am.
