Pay attention to which bearings show wear when you do the teardown. It will tell you whether is a load, rpm, or piston rocking issue.

Fwiw, the n55 runs like 10 psi of boost on cast pistons with a similar compression ratio.

The bearing wear was very light.

Can someone fill me in with detail?
I have never seen an M54 engine, even at 300K miles, with bearing issue.
Assuming it is taken care of properly (frequent oil change etc.).

How many M54 owners are getting regular oil analysis?
