Does an e39 radio fit/work in an X5?

There are a number of oem radios for e39's listed on ebay that state they are for 5 series, x5, etc. Is that accurate info? Are they interchangeable?

If you are referring to the nav radio module then the answer is yes. I'm not so sure about the non-nav, but I'm thinking no.

Sorry, I didn't specify. Non-nav, non dsp.

I believe they are interchangeable Pete.

Not sure if they will fit, but the part #'s are different.
E39 5-series (65-80-6-914-588)
E53 X5 (65-80-6-914-606)

Having seen both, I guess they would fit, but I am not sure if the depth clearance are the same in both :dunno:
