lower tailgate flap
 

Hi
got a rattle in the back and i think its the flap that covers the gap when
the lower tailgate is down.

It just flaps about.
should it have a spring that holds it against the tailgate.

I have done a google search for parts but do not know what its called.

Don't know what year, trim etc. you have so log in to realoem.com with the last 7 of your ViN and go from there to make sure you get the correct color

Sometimes I notice a rattle but it usually originates from the retractable cover for the area.

If the flap came loose and eat out back on without pre loading the springs you'd get the symptom you describe
