2001 E53 3.0i engine crank but no start
 

My x5 with 240K mile, the engine crank but doesn't start, last year I had change sparks plug, fuel pump and everything was fine then the next day the my x5 crank but won't start. The fuel pump and fuel line had gasoline when I do fuel check. The battery is good.

What do you mean by fuel check? 50psi at the fuel rail?

Yes, I check the fuel at the fuel rail.

Are you getting injector pulse? Just because you have fuel pressure at the fuel rail doesn’t mean the fuel is getting to the cylinder. The other thing to check for is sparks at the plugs.

I can’t remember if the car will crank no ignition if there is EWS problem. Do you have more than one key? If so try the others. And do you have a BMW scanner? It will show key rated codes.

I just had two keys and both crank but won’t start. The truck start fine several days ago and the next morning the truck just crank. Thanks henry

FYI; camshaft and crankshaft positive sensors had never been replace before. Could this be the problems.

I might have missed it, but what are you using to scan your X5 with? A bluetooth adapter and some basic downloaded software or ista-d, Foxwell?
