Pay it Forward
Hello Outpost Fam,
Got this idea from the ZHPMafia forum I frequented when I had my ZHP's The idea here is to offer up any parts relevant to our cars that can help out a fellow member, free of cost. I know we all accumulate items through various work and mods that end up sitting around and may be able to be put to use for someone else. This works if the recipient has a true intention of putting whatever is offered up to actual use, and not to resell or profit from the "gift". First come first serve kind of thing. Shipping can be worked out between members. Enthusiast community and culture is a huge part of why I love BMW. I believe it to be unlike any other community and the purpose of this thread is to keep that aspect alive and thriving in the true spirit of helping out one another. Pay it forward! |

I'll start off...
'Andrewwynn' claimed the roof rack hardware I offered up which I will be shipping out to him, free of cost. I have a set of Osram nightbreaker laser H1 bulbs. I asked for these bulbs from wifey for XMAS and she bought the non xenon bulbs, of course - haha I recently purchased a set (D2S) from a fellow member (X5only) and have no use for these bulbs. Purchased from Powerbulbs and are genuine -unopened Who needs them? |
I have a bunch of parts leftover from various upgrades and maintenance available free - just cover shipping (all came off 3.0i):
Alternator (core, batt light was on) All 4 brake calipers/rotors (off 55k mile truck) - gone Dual-mass flywheel (DMF action feels good, could use a resurface) Stock non-sport coil springs (F&R) GM Automatic AS360R TCC and pressure solenoids (off 55k mile truck, replaced due to slight delay in shifting into drive but made no difference) - Fan clutch & water pump (off 55k mile truck, replaced as preventative maintenance) - gone Engine mounts (off 115k mile truck, replaced during oil pan gasket job, I noticed no difference between old and new mounts). gone Shoot me a note if interested or for pics. |

Head unit and DVD and CD given to member in USA Sent from my SM-A730F using Tapatalk |
Just a suggestion....
If you don't need something back such as shipping money, maybe the shipping costs can be repaid by the receiving member as a donation to a charity like Wounded Warrior or something else that helps veterans. Won't be the same without you Fitzy 23 a day. Sent from my SM-A730F using Tapatalk |

All clear. Sorry about that. |
Oh man, missed out. I have a spare virgin set of adaptive headlights. I took the bulbs out to replace the right side one twice. Next time, both sides will be replaced. I need a set of lights after cleaning up the replacement set. The set will get UV clear coated too. I have a few parts to donate. I'll take a pic to post.

Anyone looking for an original Nav head unit, nav CD reader and rear radio? Also have the rack that holds the nav cd in the rear. Seems occasionally some folks want to put there X back to original. Having swapped in an Avin Avant 4 I don't understand why they do, but different strokes. If anyone wants it, PM me. You pay the shipping and I'll send it wherever you want.

Hello all, resurfacing a thread that’s come and gone over the years. I am the guy EODguy sent his head unit and other audio equipment to (see post 13) quite a while back. I used the head unit but have the six disc changer and NAV DVD unit if anyone is in need. These were buried in my garage but I finally found and resurfaced these today.
Let me know if you need one or both or these units. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
Great thread, probably should be a sticky.

I have replaced, repaired and stocked items for the BMW X3 first three year units, Garage is getting tight...!
PM me ask for what you're in need of...i may have it. Cheers! I'm in FL. Sent from my TMAF035G using Tapatalk |

I have a brand new set of SCC ZT735 tire chains that should fit 285/45-R19 and a bunch of other tire sizes. Free (pickup only) to anyone in the SoCal area.
Will fit the following tire sizes: https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/SCCZ...pnZIZQYkMXnOe5 |
Garage cleanout. I'm in Redwood Shores 94065, peninsula of the SF Bay area, not worth shipping. This stuff is all from my 2001 3.0i. I will be throwing it out before long, so let me know quickly if you want something.
Original front struts, non-sport coil suspension. Lacking some of the pressurizing gas, but not a noticeable difference in ride when I replaced with new ones. UPDATE - list above is current, now that calipers, caliper brackets, and rotors are gone |

In the Austin, TX area
I have a set of scrap LCI headlights if anyone wants to screw around with them. They're actually good EXCEPT the sealing U channel was cut off. You could make them work but you'd have to improvise the sealing situation. Also a bunch of hardware like multiple projector housings removed from a scrap headlight I took apart more destructively (pretty sure I took apart 5 of them). I also have a full transfer case I do not need that's chilling in the corner I got off ebay in supposedly good condition. Local pickup send me a DM |
Met miloh yesterday for a few spare parts. I drove my X5 to pick up parts. We both looked over our X5s. Sorry, we didn't take any pictures. Gray vs titanium colored X5s. Maybe next time. Thanks for the parts miloh!

I have the rear m54 exhaust, the pipes and mufflers are in pretty nice shape. If you could weld a better looking tip on it'd be not bad. Located near Pittsburgh
https://i.imgur.com/28TrksOl.jpeg Also in the bin are a set of still decent struts and coil springs. The rear calipers aren't much to look at but still functioning fine, they could be cleaned up and rebuilt if anybody wants them, I would ship those. The subframe needs to go to scrap though, I can't wait to get that out of here. https://i.imgur.com/CSqGqS4l.jpeg |
