FCP is great. Especially if you have vehicle for a good amount of time. They will even warranty wear items. We always get pads and rotors from them. Just send in the worn component and they send new one's! Can't beat that!

FCP warranty is great, even though I've never had to use it. RMEuropean is another good option, although they are not my 100% go-to first choice since they raised their threshold for free shipping.

On shipping brake rotors, what have you found to be the most cost effective way to do that? (I'll be needing to do that soon)

Hey oldskewel, I usually put everything that I need to replace in a cart and call FCP customer service directly. I give them the cart number and have them add a note that it is parts replacement for warranty items and that a credit will be applied when the old parts are received. I then go ahead and buy everything I need and use their packing to ship back the warranty items snail mail as cheaply as I can. Give that a few days to get there and look for the credit to be applied to your FCP account, call customer service back have them credit your card and you're good to go :thumbup:

It has been some time, but I believe I used the USPS fixed price shipping boxes. I am fairly certain is was +/- $20. We had to use 2 boxes to ship them separately due to size constraint.

Being just over 13" (for my 4.4i anyway) you could try fitting one in to the largest USPS Flat Rate Box they have, it's 12x12x6 and that ships (I think) anywhere in the continental US for under $25.00.


I packed and shipped a coin collection in one some time back (which weighed more than my brake rotor) and the guy looked at me funny when I handed it to him but he shipped it and it cost me $22.00, plus the insurance I put on it, at the time.

Sounds good. That's what I'm looking at - USPS priority mail flat rate boxes.
