Please help me with this code

Where is the e box
Do i need to change ?
My electric fan works
What i need to check ?

I think that is the fan in the ECU box under the hood, against the passenger side (RHD) firewall that cools the ECU. May be a fuse, may be a bad fan and I've even heard of the wires getting frayed causing them to "short out".


I've not actually seen that specific error before but I would start with checking fuses, may be in the fuse panel or in the ECU box directly - give the guys a few minutes to catch your post and I'm sure you'll get more brain power in here than just me.

That is exactly right about it being the ebox at the firewall. I have the same is but it's a faulty reading on mine but I am sure it'll go out on the 1st day we hit an air temp of 60c...

1 check the power to the fan and 2 check for the automotive type of dust bunny in the fan box.

I have an 05 4.8iS so I'm sure you'll see my tears here and there on the posts (like yesterday)[emoji28]

I have often times thought about "porting" my ebox and installing an external 12v ducted fan to push air through it... but my fan is still working and every once in a while I pull the ebox cover and clean out what I can... not that it gets filthy per say or that you can really get to too much.


Yea, you hit air temps of 60c and have your fan crap out, would unfortunately just add to your resent stretch of bad luck - you shouldn't have said that :D

Could somebody tell me which is the ebox fan fuse ?
