Unfortunately the 4.8 wasn't offered in white. Wish it was. Or in sterling grey. I'd probably have one of those if they did. Good luck with your search!

Love the White ones. Here in the US the LeMans Blue was the brochure model so the dealers stocked up and sold lots of 'em.
Most popular seen on the roads still running:
Blue, Black, Red .....

From the post on 4.8is registry
Count Exterior Color Code
14 Black Sapphire Metallic 475
11 LeMans Blue Metallic 381
1 Estoril Blue Metallic 335
10 Imola Red 405
9 Titanium Silver 354
1 Sterling Grey 472
1 Sonderlackierung 300
47 Total

No white in the US EODguy. This person looking says they're from CA so logic kicks that they're not looking to import a white one from Europe  ;)

StephenVA 04-02-2020 11:23 AM

It is just a shipping container away! :)

timmyc 04-02-2020 11:47 AM

This isn't low mileage or a preferred color, but.....

That's Tam's truck (TMV's). Was recently sold to someone on here. Guess they are selling it. Wonder if it's even got Arizona plates yet... I seem to remember it selling just a couple months ago. Think the buyer was working on the cluster on here pretty recently.

That is one nice looking truck.....

Thanks to all those who chimed in. Will strike 'white' off the color list.

The PHX craigslist X5 actually resides in CA. Not sure if the seller is on here, but he/she on bimmerforums.

Yes it is but I don't think the buyer was happy with the purchase. Mentioned having to do some work to it immediately after purchase.

I was going back and forth with this guy (link below) a few months ago. If you change your criteria to an older 4.6 I thought this one was a really good find. Problem was I couldn't get the guy to give me a price. Seems as though he was just putting feelers out there. I ended up buying a 9k mile silver 4.8. I think he's in South Carolina if you wanted to check it out.

Sooo close.. but just a fewwww ponies away! :D I just did the AC compressor and power steering hoses in the '04 4.4 I bought last year. Full cooling and all hoses last year. She's at 42k miles now.

Lots more to go!

Ditto. I don’t think prop likes a big booty though. Good thing because those flares are ridiculously expensive.

You are correct. Had I known I could install the running boards without the flares on the blue one, I would have left them off. :nanana: Totally not my thing. :dunno:

Yeah, $1000 for all 4 in the rear and $750 for the fronts. Ask me how I know. https://www.e46fanatics.com/forum/im...palmsmiley.gif

:wow: For that kinda money, you could've gotten insulated windows! Ask me how *I* know! !ouch:

Your ride is HAWT tho. Maybe that's the thing.. I'm objected on principle, but when I *see* it.. I like it? :dunno:

EODguy 04-03-2020 12:36 AM

Actually importation is pretty easy and I've never had an issue with 25 year stuff. I have on the other hand had a total twatwaffle give me shit at customs saying that my factory windows were too dark (until I showed them it was also offered in the States) but it's easy enough to pull a drivetrain and call it parts [emoji850]

I think I got my fronts for about $560 but would have to double check. $750 would've scared me away. Honestly can't believe I paid what I did.

They have certainly gone way up in the last couple of years. I really had a hell of a time getting the left side, ECS Tuning back ordered mine for months before the dealer found one for me in Germany. I backed off buying them for 2 years because of the cost but finally went ahead since they were getting scarce.
