Doesn't the CPO run out at 50K anyway?

CPO adds 2 years and 50,000 miles of limited warranty (maintance not covered). So you are good for 6 years and /or 100K.

I think if you buy a X before warranty runs out you can buy additional BMW warranty with or without full maintance. But I believe this can only be purchased before factory warranty runs out.

:welcome: I agree with the others that CPO is the way to go. Also, BMW Financial had some great rates when we bought our two vehicles last year.

My husband and I just recently looked at a used '02 X5 4.4 with extremely low miles (40K) and it was currently out of warranty but because it was a CPO it still had a 4 year/50,000 mile warranty. We also checked into the optional maintenance package which was priced at $1500 but we felt that is well worth it if it covers brakes and rotors. I have had too many sets of rotors go bad on me not to have that and I like the option of just driving the car for 4 years/50,000 miles and just putting gas in it. At least that is the information the dealership gave us about the warranty/maintenance.
