new rear air spring problem

Hi
Just fitted a pair of air springs to the rear.

The problem i have is that the pipes pop off when
they are inflated.

Double checked every thing.
Also still had suspension inactive on the display.
run a test with inpa and all ok.

Thank you.

When you say the "pipes" pop off are you referring to the air lines?

Did you have the car sitting on the ground while you tried to pump it up? Mistake no.1. You should have the car jack up so the wheels are slightly off the ground.

How did you disconnect the air lines? Their is a quick connect clip that pushes toward the centerline I believe nothing comes off like a circlip. It just make positive latch with the new air spring. Definitely need to keep the car off the ground until springs have air in them. Not sure how what was flagged as a mistake it wasn't mentioned as action taken.

I suspect a difference in the connection is making it difficult to seat completely. Test with old spring to get a feeling for the fit and figure out why it's not grabbing securely. Also pull on them make sure they won't pull off by hand

hi
when they blew off it wrecked the plastic ring clips.
had to make shims from thick washers and wedge
them in so i could use the car.

i did pull on the pipes to see is they were locked in place.
And the car was jacked up at the time.

i am putting it down to cheap bags.

thank you.

Also forgot to point out that the car still drop at the rear by this morning.

I have checked for leak's with soapy water on every connection.
Even had the pump out and found no air leak's.

Strange one.

Thank's again

if no leaks in the plumbing suspect is the drain valve
