How many of you run a 90c t-stat
Hey guys, since I am still in the process of replacing the motor in my 4.4 X (ya I know its taking a long time ) lol. Life and other projects keep getting in the way of me getting it done. I have been doing research and find a lot info on advantages of running a 90c t-stat. I must admit; too high of temp damaging seals and gaskets makes sense to me. And since I am changing or replacing everything but the main internals on the new motor; I am thinking about trying the lower temp t-stat. Crystal said he installed one but didn't say if he liked it or how well it worked in a post last month (I started new post cuz I didn't wanna get involved with that one. ) So... any reviews, comments, or experiences that you have would be greatly appreciated. Unlike some people; I really appreciate the info you guys provide. Thank you...Barry

I am getting ready for my cooling system overhaul and this is a question I have as well. |
logic7
I contacted logic7 almost a week ago to ask them if they made a t-stat to fit my other bmws. We have a 2010 335xdrive and a 2012 X3 2.8 and I'm wondering if they would benefit from a lower temp t-stat as well. I have gotten no reply after almost a week. This has me a little concerned about costumer service. Maybe he doesn't want to sell 3 t-stats at a time. lol :dunno:

When I bought a logic7 thermostat for the e53 it took almost a month for delivery. I never heard from them about any delays. :dunno:

ECS tuning
I see that ECS tuning also sells a 90c t-stat. Has anyone heard anything Good, Bad, or Ugly about their 90c t-stat ?
